Mark Girard
President of Habitat Restoration Sciences

Mark Girard is the president of Habitat Restoration Sciences, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dudek, a California-focused engineering and environmental consulting firm. He leads the firm’s native habitat restoration and maintenance efforts.

For nearly 15 years, Girard has served varying project needs throughout San Diego County. He previously managed habitat restoration installation and maintenance projects for various San Diego-based landscape contractors. Girard is trained as a heavy equipment operator and has significant experience implementing weed abatement strategies.

Girard’s most notable projects include restoring the City of San Diego’s East Mission Gorge Trunk Sewer, coordinating a 26-acre habitat restoration site for the Rancho Water District, implementing restoration maintenance project for The Nature Conservancy and restoring San Diego's historic Famosa Slough.

He is affiliated with the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA).

Girard earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Massachusetts.
