John Pastore, P.E.
Engineering Services Co-Manager


John Pastore is the engineering services co-manager at Dudek, a California-focused engineering and environmental consulting firm. 

Pastore has more than 30 years of experience in Southern California’s water and wastewater industry. Since joining Dudek in 1986, he has been responsible for the management of four water/wastewater districts in San Diego and Riverside counties, including the operational management of nine wastewater treatment facilities. 

In 2006, Pastore was named executive director of the Southern California Alliance of Publicly Owned Treatment Works (SCAP). In this position, Pastore is involved with statewide regulatory issues affecting public water/wastewater agencies. His affiliations include the American Public Works Association (APWA), American Water Works Association (AWWA), California Water Environment Association (CWEA), WateReuse Association and LAFCO Special Districts Advisory Committee.

Prior to joining Dudek, Pastore spent 13 years working for the County of San Diego in its Sanitation and Flood Control Department and the Department of Public Works. He served in progressively more senior roles with the county, completing his tenure as its senior sanitary engineer responsible for design and construction management of the county’s wastewater treatment plants and pump stations. 

Pastore earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from San Diego State University.
