DUDEK - Frank Dudek

Frank Dudek is the founder and president of Dudek, which has grown into a leading California-focused engineering and environmental consulting firm since it was started in 1980.

Dudek is responsible for overseeing strategic planning and financial performance of the 220-person firm, headquartered in Encinitas, California with offices in Orange, Riverside, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Placer counties.

Dudek originally focused on wastewater recycling projects and water quality policies and permitting, and has held leadership positions in a number of professional organizations. He was past local chapter president of the American Public Works Association (APWA) and the California Water Environment Association (CWEA), and served as a director of the local American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) chapter. He also represented the firm as a sustaining member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the Building Industry Association (BIA), WateReuse Association, Water Environment Federation (WEF), and the Orange County Water Association (OCWA). Dudek currently serves on the Executive Board of the Greater San Diego After-School All-Stars, and is a patron of the Carlsbad Boys & Girls Club, Community HousingWorks, and many other charitable organizations.

Prior to founding the firm, he spent two years in Dacca, Bangladesh with the Parsons Company designing and building water and wastewater systems and three years as a regulator with the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board.

He earned a master's degree in civil engineering from Oregon State University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from University of Nebraska.
