Dudek Expands GIS Mapping and Modeling Analysis Services

Encinitas, Calif. – September 23, 2008 – Dudek today announced it has added three new professionals to its geographic information systems (GIS) group to provide data collection, mapping, modeling analysis and enterprise Web-based mapping application services for natural resource management and infrastructure development projects.

“Dudek’s GIS services help clients analyze complex locational data faster and with greater insight,” said Lisa Lubeley, Dudek’s GIS manager. “This helps our clients save money and time, increase efficiency, manage resources, and increase communication and collaboration as well as support better decision making.”

New staff includes:
  • Simon Kedward, GIS analyst, who has nearly 20 years experience in the public and private sector. He spent several years working with San Diego Gas & Electric, providing mapping, analysis and Web-based mapping application development for a variety of projects including the 2003 Cedar fire to help the agency identify conflicts and plan for service restoration. Additionally, Kedward provided GIS consulting to the City of San Diego and reporting to the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District.
  • Mark McGinnis, GIS analyst, who has 10 years experience creating, presenting and analyzing spatial data. He previously worked in private practice consulting, where he served as a principal GIS analyst on various habitat conservation plans, technical reports, and environmental impact reports for parcel-level to multi-jurisdictional projects.
  • Andrew Greis, GIS technician, has experience in global positioning systems, data management, and cartography. He previously served as an intern with the City of San Marcos, helping the city digitize its storm drain network as well as create various maps and GPS projects.
